How Essential Oils Are Made
Most essential oils are produced using one of two traditional methods.
Steam Distillation
This is the most common and oldest method.
Fresh plant material is placed into a still where gentle steam passes through the botanicals. The heat releases microscopic aromatic compounds, which travel with the steam into a cooling chamber.
As the vapor cools, it separates into two products:

Cold Pressing
